the american view on scouting is here!

The team at Scouting Radio are pleased to announce our new programming live from the United States of America.

The Commissioners Corner will be hosted by Shawn Cleary and his cohost Keith Westergaard. Both Scouters are members of the Boy Scouts of America and come from the Bay Lakes Council situated in Wisconsin.

Shawn is a Unit Commissioner while Keith is the Assistant District Commissioner. Their show will be a lively mix of topics on American Scouting, camps, poems, stories and American Scouting.

10,000 Miles for a scouting reunion

Peter Lack, from Melbourne, Australia, was one of 200 Scouts past and present who marked the 100th anniversary of one of the oldest surviving packs in the world at a special event in the Black Country.

1st Bilston Scout Group was established in 1908 and even has a warrant signed by B-P!

Mr Lack was born and bred in Bilston but moved to Australia with his family when he was 17. He was delighted to be part of the celebrations of a group he joined when he was a young boy, now 66.

justin dawson decides to skydive

Scouting Radio's Station Manager Justin Dawson has decided to do a 5,500ft tandum skydive to raise money for charity.

"I plan to do this jump to get over my fear of heights and also to raise money for a good cause"

Scouting Radio and ISTV will be there on the day of the jump and we shall have a video of Justin jumping from the plane.
