Star Forest is a Traditional international jamboree of Estonian Scout Association (ESA) and Estonian Guide Association (EGA), this time named "Tähemets" – „Forest of stars“, is held in summer 2009 from the 11th to the 18th of July in Tagametsa, Estonia.

The camp-site is ESA's and EGA’s permanent camping area in a beautiful forest by a river. Bivouacking as usual.

11.07, Saturday

Welcome! We expect that you all will arrive to Estonia by the 11th to participate from the first day! First day is for building the camp-site, just the way you like it. Use your imagination and create the coolest gate and fence for your sub-camp, dining table, benches, fireplace and everything else you can think of.Of course there is going to be the opening ceremony of The Star Forest 2009 and great campfire for the entire jamboree-folk in the evening.

12.07, Sunday

All the construction works should be finished by lunch and then you’ll have some time until lunch to explore the amazing stuff that others have been working on. After lunch you can test your scouting and guiding skills – traditional Estonian scouting and guiding games for different age groups will be held. It’s your chance to get to know all the interesting people in you sub-camp better.

13.07, Monday

And may the discovering of the planets begin! There will be many and more exciting fields of activities – planets, altogether six of them. You can experience how to hand make different things, learn new skills and glean knowledge. There is time to explore two planets per one day. The World of Games will be opened. The games are going to be secret until then so the joy could be even bigger!

14.07, Tuesday

The hiking day. There are three options:1) The Journey for Rovers2) Extreme 24-hour hike for 18+3) Foreign guests can also choose to explore the old university-town Tartu in Southern Estonia.We will provide you with further information and ask you to confirm your choice before the jamboree. You may relax in your sub-camp, tell your stories and new experiences by the campfire.

15.07, Wednesday

It’s time to return to discover the new planets you haven’t been on. There will be the biggest and greatest campfire for all the camp-folk where you can sing, make jokes and socialize.

16.07, Thursday

You have two planets to visit. You can explore the sky through telescope. This isyour chance to see what there is to see in the forest of stars ´

17.07, Friday

Day of the Market of Stars. Your group can present your best inventions and share excellent new ideas. There will be many colorful shows and finals of sports. The closing ceremony will be held. Party! Party! PAAAAAAAAAARTY!

18.07, Saturday

Done! We will pack our packs, clean everything we have left behind and make our way home after hugging every new friend we have made. More hugs! And more! EXTRAS Ballgames every day. Opening of the BP-s footprint, Christian forest church
