Nices was a success in 2001, 2003 and 2006. In 2009 they hope for more. 

NICES is organised by a very enthusiastic and experienced staff of the Paus Pius X Scout group from Nederweert. This scout group already exists for more than 55 years. It was founded in 1953 and in
the beginning the group consisted only of Boy Scouts.

Owing to the union of Guides and Boy Scouts in the Netherlands in 1973, Scouting Nederland arose. In 1977 the Paus Pius X Group was expanded with ub Scouts and it didn’t take long before there were both boys and irls groups for every age. After many successful years the need for a group of waterscouts arose. In that way the Waterscouts troop Mark wain arose in 1992. And although this Troop has its own name, it is part of the Paus Pius X group. At the moment the Paus Pius X group is offering a wide range of activities both on land  and water for children and young people between 5 and 21. The organising team of NICES 2009 comes from all parts of the group and is in that way experienced with all ages and all sorts of activities. The aims of the
organising team during NICES 2009 are: playing Scouting with Scouts from different countries, meeting different cultures, getting to know the Netherlands and its culture, making new friends and of course
having a great time.
