Startum Wesum Scout Group loose old Friend

Colin Lingwoord was a keen Scout, a dedicated and committed member of The Scout Association, and was instrumental in the establishment and ongoing success of Fakenham Wensum Scout Group.  Colin was proud to be a Queen's Scout, had served as a Cub Scout leader at Sculthorpe before joining the team at Fakenham Wensum.  He was awarded the TSA Medal of Merit in 2004 in recogniton of his outstanding service.

Scout leaders in Fakenham Wensum have many fond memories of working with Colin, especially the memorable guided tour of the 2007 World Scout Jamboree, at which Colin was serving as a member of the HoHo team - arranging for three Boy Scouts of America branded tents to be donated to Fakenham Wensum on his return as a lasting souvenir of the Group's involvement in the Centenary year.
