JamÓige 2012
Scouting Ireland are pleased to announce JamÓige is back!
Every 3 years Scouting Ireland holds a Jamboree just for our Beaver Scout and Cub Scout sections. JamÓige will take place in Ardgillian Castle in Co. Dublin for the June Bank Holiday and Scouting Radio will be there to bring you all the latest news from the camp.
With 2,500 Cub Scouts staying all weekend and 1,000 Beaver Scouts staying on Sunday night we'll have lots to do and see and many new friends to meet. The theme for the weekend is Gullivers Travels and lots of exciting events will be themed around this fantastic story.
There will be four subcamps for the cubs, each a landmark from the area and more importantly each landmark can be seen from the campsite. The four subcamp names are for the Cubs are Martello, Bremore, Rockabill and Lambay all names which are Irish and of attractions in the Fingal area which can be seen from Ardgillian castle. There will be 2 Beaver Subcamps named Hurdy Gurdy and Draóicht. Both will be magical and full of adventure for young Beaver Scouts.
The camp takes place on the June Bank Holiday in Ireland and Scouting Radio will be there enjoying hugs from Cuddles and of course all the adventure from Gullivers travels!
