Robert McTague controls our Scouting Radio New Zealand
Studios and presents "The New Zealand Scout Zone"
on Scouting Radio.
Robert McTague is 48 years old and has been involved
in Scouting for 10 years. He has been a Scout Leader
for eight years, and is Group Leader of Highfield Mountainview
Scout Group Timaru, New Zealand.
From a Group of 28 youth members, Robert with the help
of his wife built a group with a full membership of
Keas, Cubs, Scouts and Ventures.
Roberts wife Heather is the Scout section leader. He
has been happily married to his wife for 25 years. Robert's
17 year old son Matthew has been in Scouts since he
was a Kea at 6 years of age. Mathew is now Chairmen
of the HMV Venturer Unit, and also working on his Duke
of Edinburgh's Award.
Robert's dedication to Scouting has won him the Chief
Scout Commendation Award for his service in Scouting.
